Can I request a different material?

Yes you can. We require you to pre order and it may take 2-3 weeks to create.

What materials do Poppy Jewellery use?

Our items are all Sterling silver, for some items listed “Gold” they are a 14ct gold plating which has been through a PVD process bombarded into the sterling silver. 

How long will the gold plating last?

Our gold plating system is one of the highest grading processes, however over time the plating can wear away. To help it last longer avoid any chemicals while wearing the item, e.g. soaps, perfume, hair spray etc.

Does your jewellery contain nickel?

Our gold plated items may contain small traces of nickel.

How do I care for my Poppy Jewellery?

Care instructions:

• Always protect your jewellery, avoid sharp objects and sleeping with the item on.
• Store your jewellery appropriately, for example, in a jewellery box which is softly lined or in one of our cute pouches with an anti tarnishing strip. Jewellery cleaning products coming soon.
• Be aware your Jewellery may tarnish, this is a natural process caused by the interaction with certain elements such as oxygen or sulphur, our body also releases natural oils which can tarnish jewellery. However if this process happens, the item can be cleaned.
• Never go swimming with jewellery on, as chlorine can damage all metals and will erode at our gold plated items.
• Avoid wearing your Poppy jewellery while cleaning, gardening or performing vigorous activities.
